... about our farm and farm shop
Tablehurst has been a community-owned farm for 22 years. No-one takes a profit – we work for our community. The farm is biodynamic, which means we are farming to the highest standards of animal welfare and care for the environment. We believe that you can eat all of our produce with a clear conscience, because this approach to farming works with nature for the long term.
We farm beef cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry, a small herd of dairy cattle, some arable crops and a wide range of vegetables and salads – something for every season throughout the year. As we are a community farm, you are welcome to visit at any time and take a wander round to see what we are doing. We also have a cafe where you can enjoy breakfasts, lunches, hot drinks and cakes, featuring lots of farm produce and all made with organic ingredients.
Our farm shop sells our meat and vegetables, our own raw milk, pies and ready meals made at Tablehurst, amazing sourdough bread baked on the farm, local organic eggs and cheeses, and a wide range of other organic produce, much of it from small local suppliers.
The farm is easy to find. Our postcode is RH18 5DP.
- If you are driving, you can access the farm from the A22 just north of Forest Row village. Look for the pedestrian/cycle traffic lights and our sign, set back a bit from the road. If you are travelling from Forest Row, turn right. If you are coming from East Grinstead or Ashurst Wood, turn left.
- If you are cycling, Sustrans route 21 follows our access track from the A22. Just stay on the track to come to the farm shop and cafe.
- If you live in Forest Row, the farm is a pleasant 10 – 15 minute walk from the village centre – follow the Forest Way and turn left across the fields when you see our sign.
The shop is open 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Saturday.
Do visit soon – you won’t regret it!
