Biodynamic cereals and field crops

We grow cereals and pulses on 40 hectares on the farm. We use a cultivation method called “minimum tillage”.

Minimum tillage means we only cultivate the top inches of the soil. It is a conservation method reducing the use of fossil fuels, increasing organic matter and adding to the health of soil and crops.

We grow a variety of oats, wheat, barley, triticale, rye and beans together with green manures, grasses and clovers. Most grain is fed to the pigs but we mill our own wheat and rye flour. Our yields are low but the nutrient density (quality) of our grain extremely high.
